Life is a box of chocolates

Hello lovelies.

Over this weekend I kept thinking that a lot of people seem to regret what they choice to do with their free time.  You make the choice if you're going to have a lazy weekend, get ridiculously drunk, take random photos, dress up silly or whatever you want, but as soon as Sunday comes rolling around all of a sudden regret sinks in and people start acting like everything they did was a waste of time.  Really now?  Life without regrets, be happy with what you wanted to do, if you really wanted to do the other stuff you would be doing it.

Go frolic, be silly and most of all stop whining about things you can do tomorrow.  Just do it.

A slight Rock and Roll love story

Looking back at how many times it feels like the universe was pushing us together just makes me smile, but I believe we got together at the right time.  We both needed to grow and realize what we want out of life.

We both came from the same city, but he went to study in another town so we didn't meet until later on in life.  He moved back to join his brothers band,  he left behind a girlfriend his friends and a job.  The first time we met was at a local club we were both in relationships so we didn't think into things.  We were both sitting at opposite ends of a table with our friends being miserable.  Looking back, we both noticed when we saw each other we were doing the exact same thing. Getting a drink and not socializing.  Its funny, because I remember telling my friend that I think hes really good looking and he told her the same thing.  We saw each other out a lot of times and we kept having these weird lingering looks, but we never spoke to each other.  After beating him at foosball (and he didn't even realize it was me) and he had a little bitch fit I just classified him as a hot asshole.

The band got signed to a record label and they moved away for bigger and better things. Now just so you guys know I'm not a groupie, I didn't even like the band, but I was friends with most of the members from the band.  Months flew away like a cloud and I didn't even think about him.  I started thinking about him the night before I went to a music festival.  I happened to see him on facebook at a ridiculous hour and wondered why he was awake. The morning of the music festival I decided to message the members of the band (except him) to ask how things were going and if they were having a good time ( I was just generally interested).  No response from anyone. I left for the festival and while I was there my friend and I spotted a guy that looked just like him.  It was odd.

When I got back I logged onto facebook again at a silly hour and saw he was online, I decided to message him, it was rather odd to me.  I'm a really intense funny person and I usually hide that, but when I messaged him I was my true self.  Not even 5 minutes later he replied and we didn't stop talking. We finally exchanged numbers and the talking just continued.  We realized we are basically the same person, we have most things in common.  A day into talking it got really, really dirty.  We both admitted that it was the first time we felt so comfortable with someone that we could be completely honest.

I've always had this fantasy about true love and finding your special person, I started losing hope and felt really silly.  He had the same thing his heart got broken for the first time when he was 6 and he kept listening to bonjovi.

After awhile I started feeling silly and told him I'm getting attached, he whipped out the "you can't be to attached, because I'm in love with you, f*ck it I love you".  We've both been intense people and gotten hurt by a lot of people so moving fast was just beautiful for us.  I made a plan to go visit him that weekend.

I decided to take the bus on the Friday, let me just say being hungover on a bus and having all that time to think is a hell of a freak out.  My entire trip i felt like I made a mistake, I'm going to get left at the bus station and after getting off the bus halfway to get coffee, the heavens decided to open up and drench me in rain when I tried to get pretty in the morning was just beautiful!

When I finally got to the bus station, my phone died.  Having no way to contact him I decided to find the nearest exit and go have a smoke.  I got harassed by a man for an hour and when I finally saw him running towards me I felt this instant connection. We had our first kiss and it was lovely.  We realized we are perfect for each other in the car, we didn't have any awkwardness and it just felt right.  After that he would come visit me when he didn't have shows and I would come see him whenever I could and most of the times it would be when he had a show that night, we would have to rush to make it for sound check.  This kept going for maybe a month.  Where my stays would get longer and eventually we realized I'm living with him.  That first day we met we both kept proposing to each other and our proposals just continue.  It was a weird feeling for both of us to feel so secure in a relationship, making plans not wanting to be apart.

While talking about all this we noticed that we were at the same camp when we were 16.  His first job he worked at one of my family functions, we went to the same concerts and he saw my boobs on screen.  We had a lot of opportunity to meet, but like I said from the start everything worked out perfectly for us, we needed time to grow, lose hope in love and just get wowed when it did happen.  My appreciation for him is endless and the love I see in his eyes when he looks at me melts my heart.

Well that's my story, never lose hope guys.  I'm not saying you need a man to be happy, be happy with yourself, this intense love is something I've always wanted and I'm grateful I found it.

Home alone - a short survival guide

My housemates and boyfriend went away for the weekend for a family birthday, I couldn't attend, because I had a little work function going and going to that part of the country is just not my idea of a good time.

I'll admit I was really excited for a little me time without people all around me, but after I came back from my function I had a panic moment of realizing OMG, I'm here all by myself.  This is dangerous, I'm going to get murdered and killed, No one will know I'm dying until they get back.  You know general freak out things :O
Eventually I got over my freak out (after I locked all the doors closed the windows and curtains and double checked that the doors were locked) and decided I'm going to enjoy this.

This is my short survival guide for being home alone:

1. Enjoy yourself this is a wonderful time to do everything YOU want to do! So think about something you've wanted to do for a while and DO IT.  I poured myself a glass (or 5) of wine and watched copious amounts of series on the couch.

2. Make yourself dinner (or order in) I made myself a healthy dinner for one and ate it by candle light, because hey romancing myself is hard.  I pulled out all the stops.
Steamed string beans with a broccoli, carrot and peppers bake

3. Put on some heels and feel good.  Well I was already dressed and I felt o so pretty so I really didn't want to change
* or put on your pjs and get really relaxed.
Leg warmers and ankle heels

4. Give yourself a facial.  I gave myself a steam facial and walked around covered in oil for ages.

5. Take a bath and read a book.  Taking a relaxing bath without someone screaming at me to get out the bathroom was wonderful.

6.  Watch some chick flicks or any movie you like.  I spend my evening watching walking dead, because everyone hates it and never wants me to watch it. WINNING!

7. After all this I got really bored and started cleaning and organizing everything.  Drank more wine and went to bed.

I had a rather lovely time being by myself and doing whatever I wanted to do.

Have a spectacular week everyone.

Tips for healthy glowing skin

Glowing skin just makes us feel youthful and good about ourselves.  Its something we all want, but with the lives we lead its hard to achieve.  Unhealthy eating, pollution and stress are just a few factors that play a roll in this.

There is just something about a woman with glowing skin, she seems more confident and healthy than other women. These are my tips for natural glowing sking

1. WATER

The body consist of 50 -75% water.  We need water to survive, but yet we avoid drinking water and instead go for other option (sodas, coffee and tea), now I'm not saying DON'T ever drink anything else, but water ever again.  I'm just trying to say moderation is key.  Drink the amount of water your body needs everyday or as much as you can stomach (in the beginning) and flush out all those harmful chemicals and toxins in your body.

2. FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

Its always easier to get the sh*t fast food, hey like it says its FAST and its easy and with our busy lives its understandable why we do it, but think about it this way fruit is natures fast food.  Pack healthy snacks for work and steaming some vegetables or throwing a salad together after work is not that hard to do (stop being a lazy bum).  Here is a link to 10 fruits and vegetables that's phenomenal for glowing skin.

3. WASH YOUR FACE

I've never been a big believer in face washes, I've tried a lot of them and have had that dry skin feeling or just got horrible looking skin afterwards.  My idea of washing my face (and what works for me) is to wash my face with clean warm water (no soap), splash my face of with cold water and dab with a fluffy clean towel.  It does wonders.

4. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

2-3 times a week I like to use a toner to get rid of any impurities that might be on my face due to conceal or dirt.  I use 1 part apple cider vinegar 1 part water, dip in a cotton ball and cleanse my face.  Its a great inexpensive way to cleanse.

5. LOTION THAT FACE UP

I use 2 products that have made my skin feel tighter and even, its not the regular thing to use, but boy o boy does it leave my skin feeling soft.

Mornings:

In the morning I apply a pregnancy stretchmarks cream.  It might seem a little odd, but its amazing.  It gives the skin moisture and is great for wrinkles.

Evenings:

Before I go to bed, I remove any make up and massage in some bio oil. This is a great oil, that does wonders.  In the morning you will wake up with incredibly soft skin.

These are my tips for glowing skin,  I hope you enjoyed it and that I helped at least one person.
